Economically disadvantaged women in villages and urban slums of Banglore lack education and employable skills; they migrate to cities in search of low-skill jobs or work as domestic help, agricultural laborers, and as maids in schools, hospitals, shops and establishments. Windson Charitable Trust has conducted baseline survey to identify skills needed in the job-market and has developed training programs for women to help them become micro entrepreneurs or get better paying jobs.

Donate for Women Empowerment Now

Women across the globe face discrimination and inequality in many areas of life, including education, income, wealth, and health. This has contributed to the fact that women make up only 10% of the world's income and own less than 1% of the world's property. In India, the literacy rate for men is 80.9%, compared to only 64.6% for women, and women's participation in the labor force is only 29%.

Women empowerment means giving women independence and choice in how they want to live their lives. This includes the freedom to pursue education, choose their own career and spouse, and make decisions about parenting and other aspects of their lives. When a woman is empowered, she can identify her skills, knowledge, and abilities and use them to make her own decisions. Empowerment is a process of growth and development that gives women self-esteem, confidence, and the ability to participate in community development.

For a society to develop socially and economically, it is essential to empower women. By providing women with the tools and support they need to succeed, we can create a more equitable and prosperous society for all.
